                                             Subtitle: Post-Game Wrap-Up
                                                by Richard J.* DePersio,
(All comsats listed and described at groups.google.com/group/rickcosmos-eclectic)

For our critics: "We do not resent criticism, even when, for the sake of emphasis, it parts
for the time with reality."                                          -Winston Churchill

Editor's (Citizen Reporter) Note (or Lost and Found Department): We hereby notify our estimated
50-plus readers to expect five to seven posts over the next two weeks followed by semi-active
status:  monthly or  fortnightly (a nod in the direction of our British cyber-friends) posts; you will, of
course, be notified of their availability and our policy of making them available at a discount shall
remain unchanged.

*We shan't make you suffer until article's end for an explanation. 'J' is for John; John is
our late father. John chosen as Confirmation Name; used it in signature until questioned
legality as middle name when about age 25. Stopped being a participant in Catholicism at
age 18. Developing a "Theory of Everything," including, God, Heaven, angels, quantum     physics, beyond, 4-dimensional universe, cosmos of relativity, etc. in "Plato's Cave" series at
comsat-ak.blogspot.com (You're always self-promoting...Earned a certificate as a "Certified
Media Placement Specialist,"  as well as, docs of completion from seven institutions after   high school...Promoting and bragging Self...Which Self?; Our loyal readers and                      cyber-friends should get to know us better now that we are on our way out!). Speaking of
letters...Who was speaking of letters.... Keep quiet; you're getting on our nerves. Our
website "comsat-ak" - the 'a' is for Alexa and the 'k' is for Katie - our perfect nieces; our
regulars and, perhaps, some of our irregulars know that we mention them periodically.
Boy! This is a classic example of extreme A.D.D. He's going out, way out there. What a
way to go! Was this a size 13 footnote!?!

Article proper...And, it's about time!

"Mr. Tumbull had predicated evil consequences...and
was now doing the best in his power to bring about
the verification of his own prophecies."
                                                                                       - Anthony Trollope
Applicable to U.S. gov. Anthony Trollope in a return performance:

"...government is not the worst government England
can have. It has been the great fault of our politicians
that they have all wanted to do something."

As regards the former: it is indeed our fervent desire that our dire prediction does not
come to pass. Is it too late? Does it make a difference at this juncture which party
controls the White House or the House or the Senate. Have we returned to yesteryear
when in 1968, George Wallace (Blacks adored him and still harbor fond memories
of 'the man.'), "There isn't a dimes worth of difference between the two major parties."
For back then, 50% of dems were liberals and 50% were moderates; 50% of repubs were
moderates, 25% Rockefeller libs and 25% Goldwater conserves.
We hate to sound like cynics but we think that 33 1/3% is optimistic as regards
undoing a century of progressive and later liberal chipping away at our Fonding
Docs through legislation, judicial decisions. executive orders and executive branch
regs that virtually little remains.
What if repubs gain control of one or both houses of congress will the old guard
and the Tea Party-ers be arguing all of the time instead of doing the people's business.
Will Obama be willing to moderate and compromise with the new house speaker a la
Clinton in '94 - N.G. - - we won't attempt to spell the former house speaker's name! Obama   has been president for less then two years and already he is one or two or three as far as
signing the most exec orders and being responsible for the most regs. The Founding     Fathers never intended the power of executive orders to be abused but used in emergency
situations only and not to be used along with with regs (meant to flesh out congressional legislation) to bypass the will of congress. Doug Sloan, pollster and political analysts
appearing on "NYLife"'s "Digital Age"  contends that he will choose to rule by exec orders
and fed regs and attempt to pretend the congress exists. If Doug is right, we might even
move further away from what ids left of our beloved Constitution. Will Obama be practical     or dogmatic? My bet: 75% of his being dogmatic And, what about those of us who feel like   we are exiles in our own country and feel that we shouldn't have to compromise. We
demand "Declaration of Independence." "Constitution. including, 'Bill of Rights,'"               "Federalist Papers" - capitalism and traditional morality.
You can't maintain that "progressive secular 'living' constitution" is just a different
interpretation of Constitution - it is a different species, it might be in a different genus.
It calls for lib judges creating laws, violating Founding Father's desire for a Christian (the writer  is no longer a Christian)and  Capitalist nation and it allows congress to create Rights
and major continental shifts without Constitutional Amendment Process - "New Deal,"
"Great Society," "Tarp." "Stimulus,"  "Healthcare Reform" (20% of the economy),
"Financial Reform" and more.
Undo a century of damage would take a decade or more and would require certain    major steps being taken over the next three years, including, a "Constitutional Convention"
- if we are going to do it Right. (More on what's necessary in part two). As we stated at
outset: a 33 1/3 chance constitutes being generous.

We stated on numerous occasions that 42% of Americans identify themselves as
conservatives, 28% as moderates, 20 as liberals and 10% are out-to-lunch. Yet, libs control
public elementary and high schools, as well as, public and most private colleges; unions;
most of music, movie, television, newspaper and magazine industries; they seized control      of student loans; they now control auto and banking industries (big-time unconstitutional); they are taking measures to control internet. We informed you in the last article that fed       gov seized control of all water,   including, the puddle in front of your house! Fed Gov on   steroids. Founding Fathers warned us that big and powerful fed gov would not only be incompetent but DANGEROUS.
Atheists and agnostics comprise 13% of Americans (it was 10% in 2005). Let's make
some educated guesses: 10% are fiscal (fiscal and monetary policies) and social (moral
issues - they are amoral or moral relativists - some would, include, domestic - non-defense
matters in this category) and  weak when it comes to defense and foreign policies - libs
A to Z; 1 1/2% are libs in two areas and moderate in one and are secularists; 1 1/2 percent    are lib in one, mod or lib in another and conserve in one   (fiscal; rare   breed -    example: execs at CBS, NBC and ABC) and are secularists. It is reasonable to assume that 11% identify    themselves as liberals and, of course, never attend services. That leaves us with 7% who are liberal in all three areas and  believe in God or some abstract concept of a Supreme Being with 5% attending services regularly or semi-regularly (we feel generous) and are secularists.        B    By the way,  63% of Americans attend services regularly or semi-regularly; 88% consider themselves Christians, it was 99% when  our nation was founded.
This is what we are up against if we want to get a derailed America back on track.

What about the Tea Party-ers. They want restoration of Constitution, spending and tax
cuts. They don't mention social issues. We maintain that was a good strategy so as not
to alienate moderates and libertarians. Yes, we share this view with other pundits. There
are those who worry like Richard Cizik, president of Evangelical Partnership, who while appearing on PBS's "Religious and Ethics Weekly," "The leadership is libertarian. They'll
take the Evangelicals for granted. They will use us. They will forget us."
Side note: according to Doug: 55% of Americans want a third-party; one-third of
TPs voted for Obama.
Statistics from "Public Research Institute" and "American Values Society": 81% of
TPs are Christians and 63% oppose all abortion or all abortion minus jeopardy of life
of the mother; 22% of Americans are active or semi-active in Christian conservative
movement while 11% drink tea full-time or part-time; 52% of TPs are also involved with         CC movement.
If TPs can wrest control from republican old guard, there is a chance that social
issues will be at the forefront as they were in 2004.

Who are we kidding? 33 1/3%! 66 2/3% chance that we will become secular socialist or
communist nation. The only question is: How Soon!...Don't listen to him, don't give up;
one-third is better then nothing.
