MOON BASE and MOON MINING

Newt supports. We have done so for a long time. Are we spaced out!?!

Moon Base: It would be a lot cheaper to get helium from the moon than from the earth for nuclear
fusion plants; it would be a lot less expensive to secure silicon from the earth for construction of
earth-orbiting solar panels than to bring it up from earth. We would need to develop mass drivers
for mining and transport of Helium 3 and silicon and for making program cost-effective. Use of this
helium won't produce radioactive waste; producing helium in power plant would.
Since 1958, NASA has been completely or partially responsible for over 30,000 inventions and
discoveries. What about Space Shuttle Spin-Offs? - Go downstairs. NASA is effective, efficient
and expert unlike most fed gov programs. Over 30,000! - Amazingly, it did this with only1/2 of 1%
of fed budget!!!
NASA should play a role in developing Air Force X-37B and should develop nuclear thermal
propulsion - R & D might have applications in our efforts to develop fusion plants. NASA can
and should play a major role in solving our energy crisis.

This placement is not what some would call a "critical degree" because it is in Pisces.
